This strong-flavoured wine ages well and offers an ensemble of spicy, peppery flavours with red fruit notes.
The time it spends in the barrel lends it complexity and maturity of tannins, as well as wonderful roundness and great body.
It is a superb accompaniment to game, red meats, cheeses and spicy dishes.
It can be aged for about 8 years.
